Does getting a good night’s sleep seem impossible these days? Our lives are jam packed with so much stuff to do. Whether it’s school, work, family or friends – we are busy burning the candle at both ends. You would think that our hectic lifestyle alone would inspire Sweet Dreams every night – BECAUSE WE’RE EXHAUSTED! But, for many of us that’s just not the case. In fact, it’s the opposite.

Could Melatonin be the solution?

Getting proper sleep is important for everyone. In fact, it’s crucial to our overall health & well-being. And a good night of dreamy Zzzzz’s is the best beauty tip of all, remember, it’s called “Beauty Sleep” for a reason. Lack of sleep can wreck your appearance. From puffy eyes and sallow skin, to more noticeable fine lines and wrinkles everyone needs beauty sleep! When we don’t get enough rest,  it’s not only our appearance that suffers. Here’s what else you might expect:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Moodiness
  • Difficulty Making Decisions and Problem Solving
  • Poor Concentration
  • Lack of Sex Life
  • Memory Issues
  • Ability to lose Weight
  • And, potential serious health issues including Heart Disease, High Blood Pressure, Stroke, Diabetes and more.

So, what can we do?

Aside from the obvious things we hear about like:

Exercise. Even a brisk 20-minute walk, to keep stress hormones from interfering,

Not eating too late in the day to avoid an active digestive system.

Avoiding caffeine at least 4 hours before bedtime and yes, that includes chocolate.

Turn off the TV, put down the video games and log off of Social Media before going to bed. Your bed is not an office. It’s for sleep!

What else can we do?

If your sleepless nights of tossing and turning are affecting you in any way, it may be time to consider Melatonin.

Melatonin is an important hormone that’s secreted naturally by the body. Darkness encourages the body to produce more melatonin, when this happens it signals the body to get ready for sleep. Light decreases melatonin production and then signals the body to wake up. Melatonin’s primary function is helping to keep our circadian rhythms – otherwise known as our body clocks – in check. When our clock gets out of whack, sleepless nights and insomnia may be the result. Melatonin is an awesome sleep aid that has proven to be effective in helping us sleep.

Keep in mind, our melatonin production declines as we age. By supplementing we are giving the body back what it needs to function at its best.

Melatonin is safe, highly effective and there are no known side effects. There have been numerous studies showing melatonin as highly effective in treating insomnia. It’s an incredible solution that, best of all, is not a drug!

For any affective herbal sleep aid, Melatonin is a must! Why not give Whim’s HUSH Beauty Blend a try? It helps you fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer.
